Vraag 45: Watter voordeel bring die opstanding van Christus vir ons? Antwoord: Eerstens het Hy deur sy opstanding die dood oorwin, sodat Hy ons deel kan laat hê aan die geregtigheid wat Hy deur sy dood vir ons verwerf het¹. Tweedens word ons nou ook deur sy krag tot ‘n nuwe lewe opgewek². Derdens is die opstanding van Christus vir ons ‘n waarborg van ons salige opstanding³.

Question 45: What benefit do we receive from Christ’s resurrection? Answer: First, by his resurrection he has overcome death, so that he could make us share in the righteousness which he had obtained for us by his death¹. Second, by his power we too are already raised to a new life². Third, Christ’s resurrection is to us a sure pledge of our blessed resurrection³.
